The YouTube joke
Although I followed the YouTube community guidelines to the letter, going even further and actually setting
rules of good behavior on video comments, my account was removed without any explanation.
Of course, YouTube can do that, and is not bound to give any reason for suspending accounts.
However, the company pledges to "encourage unpopular points of view" as long as they are not hateful. It is pretending not to follow strict Political Correctness guidelines. Also, it was Freedom of Speech & Expression that allowed these corporations to grow in the first place.
My conclusions are that the YouTube criterias on who gets banned or not, are largely arbitrary. It is more than apparent that the staff removes "unpopular" videos when those get enough "flags" by the "user community", without actually bothering to verify the video contents, like it is supposed to.
YouTube is not to be trusted with fairness at all. Its noisy pledge to defend Freedom of Expression against the likes of senator Lieberman is largely media circus and utter hypocrisy.
